As many of my friends already know, I have been accepted to Semester at Sea's Student Affairs at Sea program. This summer I will be sailing with 23 other graduate students, about 700 undergraduate students, faculty, staff and crew on the MV Explorer. We will cross the Atlantic and explore different port cities, in addition to attending class and participating in shipboard activities. It should be a crazy 68 days!!
Some of you may already know that I studied abroad my last semester as an undergrad at Auburn University. I spent twelve weeks in Italy and it absolutely changed my life! I hope to be able to see some of my Italian friends while visiting Italy and have been brushing up on my Italian so that way I won't have to rely on people knowing English all the time! I can't wait to try out my mad skills...haha!
Since I won't be leaving until mid June there isn't much to write about yet, but I will try to post as often as possible this summer to keep in touch with my friends and family overseas. As with all my other travels, I will send anyone a post card who wants one. Just post or message me your mailing address and I'll send you a note from afar! I find it makes getting bills and junk mail that much easier :)
Ciao, amici!
